beCAUSE™ 2015 Campaign
The beCAUSE™ 2015 campaign is basically a marriage between our literacy efforts based on our beCAUSE™ Declaration and the Millennium Development Goals, 2015 timeline.
Amidst the smiles of children learning to read, thanks to the ‘06/’07 beCAUSE™ campaign to promote literacy, as the only tool available for getting ahead in life, the heartfelt pain of those left behind tell a different story of urgent need.
MDGs History:
In September 2000, leaders of 189 nations and organization committed to achieve specific results by 2015 in eight major areas that have come to be known as the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). The goals set for 2015 include:
- Cut extreme poverty by one-half
- Achieve universal primary education
- Promote gender equality and empower women
- Cut child mortality by two-thirds
- Cut maternal mortality by three-quarters
- Stop the spread of HIV/AIDS, malaria and other diseases
- Sustain the environment
- Build global partnership for development
The 2015 in the campaign theme is meant to emphasize the MDGs timeline, and remind those who support it of their responsibility for the state of the world; who want their live to have made a real difference beCAUSE they’re committed.

Achieving the MDGs will enable each human person to potentially gain an improved well-being.
