PLEASE NOTE: SMILE AFRICA accepts NEW and GENTLY USED books. However, because of costs associated with sorting and packing, we have new procedures in place to make the operation more efficient as follows:
NEW BOOKS: We accept new books in any quantity with any amount of donation to offset the cost of shipping. Please call or e-mail us for our drop box locations.
GENTLY USED BOOKS: We accept gently used books only in quantities of 20 or more with a minimum donation of $5 (per every 20 books) at specific book drives and locations. But if a circumstance demands other wise, then call or e-mail us to make arrangements.
Comparative analysis of similar organizations, like SMILE AFRICA, shows that it cost more time and money sorting and shipping used books than purchasing new books from suppliers and have them shipped directly to Africa. Please give the gift of learning. Donate Now
