Smile Africa Heritage Fund: As part of Smile Africa’s impact on the UN Millennium Development Goals MDG #3, (promote gender equality and empower women), we fund a three year scholarship, particularly for girls in Ghana and Angola. With this holistic scholarship, a girl can now gain the confidence and dream of one day becoming a professional artist, author, educator or a poet (and anything else for that matter) and be part of development in her community. Scholarships are renewable for students who excel and seek to continue for another three-year term to complete a high school music/arts program.

First Book: A donation of $2500 will provide 300 – 400 children with a brand new very first book. Smile Africa will contact the chosen school for numbers of children in each grade, and distribute age appropriate never-been-used school books for each child to take home. Imagine the excitement on each child’s face as they receive a very first precious new book. Smile Africa will capture the looks on each face and send you a group photo of the children with their new books.

LearningSPACE (Renewal): Your donation at this level will pay to renovate an existing (broken-down) school library and fill it with 2000-3000 literacy books and games, depending on the size of the space. A plaque bears your name as the sponsor of the project.

LearningSPACE (Construction): You can donate towards the construction of a new library (made of retrofitted shipping containers or cement blocks) filled with as many as 3000-5000 books, computers, furnishings, training for volunteers and support from Smile Africa for three years. A plaque bears your name as the sponsor of the project.
